Blackberry Compote with Chobani Yogurt Review

Photobucket

Hello everyone! Hope you are having a relaxing evening so far, resting from a day of work.

Tonight I have a recipe for Blackberry compote with a review of Chobani Yogurt. I am not typically a fan of yogurt and normally I buy the cheapest generic brand there is. Not anymore! I received Chobani Greek Yogurt to review and I am converted. The yogurt is surprisingly thick and creamy with a healthy portion of fruit on the bottom. Delicious! My personal favorite flavor is the Apple Cinnamon.

Chobani retails for $1.49 for a small one, you can catch them on sale sometimes for $1.00 each, depending on the store.

You Will Need:

11 ounces Blackberries
4 tbsp honey
1 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

Let’s Get Started:

Put the berries in a medium saucepan together with the sugar, cinnamon and lemon juice. Bring to boil and gently simmer, until the berries release their juice, for about 10 minutes.

Let cool completely. Divide the compote between 4 glasses, keeping about 4 tablespoons of the juice. Put the yogurt on top of the compote and then top the yogurt with the remaining juice.

Serve chilled and enjoy!
